About WoW Forever Tips

Last updated:

WoW Forever Tips is an independent, fan-run guide to World of Warcraft: Forever, Blizzard’s new permanent version of original Azeroth. We started the site because the launch on November 4, 2026 raised the same questions over and over: when exactly does it go live in my time zone, do I have to pay extra, how is it different from Classic, and which class should I play? We answer those questions on dedicated pages and keep them updated. If you are new, start with the WoW Forever home page.

What you will find here

  • Launch information — the release date page converts the official launch time into every major time zone and includes a live countdown.
  • Buying advice — the price page explains what is included with a subscription and compares the upgrade editions.
  • Getting started — the download guide and beta guide cover installation, account requirements and the beta timeline.
  • Game differences — the vs Classic page compares Forever with WoW Classic.
  • Class help — the classes page gives an overview of each class and a quiz to recommend one.
  • News — the updates log collects official announcements in reverse chronological order.

After launch we plan to add leveling, profession, server and class-specific guides.

How we research

Every factual claim about the game should be traceable to an official source such as Blizzard’s news site (news.blizzard.com), the Battle.net Shop, Blizzard support articles or official Blizzard forum posts. Each guide lists the sources it relied on in a Sources section at the bottom of the page.

When we cannot confirm a detail — a regional price, a system requirement, the exact contents of a beta build — we do not guess. Instead, the text is shown with a highlighted TODO: verify marker until we find an official source. We would rather show a visible gap than publish something that turns out to be wrong.

We also separate history from news. Some pages describe how classes or systems worked in original World of Warcraft; where we do that, we say so, because Blizzard has said Forever includes class updates and new systems.

How we keep pages current

Every page shows a Last updated date. We review the launch, price and beta pages regularly in the run-up to launch, and add an entry to the updates log whenever Blizzard announces something new. Corrections are made as soon as we confirm them.

Our principles in short

  1. Official sources first.
  2. Mark anything unverified clearly.
  3. Write for players, not for search engines.
  4. Keep pages fast, readable on phones, and free of intrusive pop-ups.
  5. Update dates honestly.

What we will not do

We will not publish leaked data presented as fact, rewrite other fan sites’ guides, or hide sponsored content. We will not add pop-ups that cover the page or autoplaying video. And we will not claim certainty about patch content, prices or dates before Blizzard confirms them.
